Your Water Botttle is One-Quarter Oil

I read an article from Mother Jones about Bottled Water. Researchers at the Pacific Institution in Oakland California ran the numbers and found that bottle production alone wastes 50 million barrels of oil a year (that's 2.5 days of US oil consumption). Then think about the energy needed to process the bottled water. Label the bottles, fill the bottles, seal the bottles, cool the bottles, and so on.....! Treehuggers consider people that drink water out of bottle are the new smokers. I couldn't believe the numbers of waste of oil each year because of bottled water. I didn't think it had anything to do with it. It's crazy to think about all this stuff, that I would never even think of. The little things matter so much these days!!
